Holiday club is held in all half term holidays (excluding bank holidays) from 8am to 6pm.

At our Holiday Club, children enjoy full access to the fantastic outdoor facilities at Ruckleigh School, including two spacious playgrounds, climbing frames, and tennis courts. We make the most of these spaces with a wide range of exciting outdoor activities planned throughout the holidays.

To help your child enjoy every moment, we ask that they come dressed for the weather—this may include coats, hats, gloves, wellies, or sunhats, depending on the season. We provide sun cream, but if you prefer to supply your own, just let us know.

Ahead of each half term, we send out a detailed newsletter via our Famly app. This includes everything you need to know—what to pack, what to expect, and all the fun adventures we have in store.

At holiday club, we have three meals and two snacks throughout the day:

• Breakfast (8:45am) - Cereal or porridge

• Morning snack (10:30/11am) - Fruit or veg

• Lunch (12pm) - A hot meal

• Afternoon Snack (3pm) - Biscuit and milk (oat/soya milk is provided where applicable.)

• Tea (4:30/5pm) - Sandwiches, fruit and veg

At Holiday Club, we explore a variety of exciting topics—and food is often part of the fun! Whether it’s tasting world cuisines during our Around the World week, enjoying classic fish and chips during Beach Week, or sharing a festive Christmas dinner, we love giving children the chance to try new flavours as part of their learning and play.

All full time staff are fully trained in food handling, and this is checked regularly to ensure that all staff have up to date training.

At our Holiday Club, the focus is always on fun, friendship, and unforgettable experiences! Each week is packed with exciting themed activities designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and plenty of laughter. Here’s a glimpse of just some of the adventures we offer:

• Our Senses
  Children explore their five senses through hands-on activities and wonderfully messy play experiences.

• Easter & Spring
  From Easter egg hunts and nature walks to spring-themed crafts, baking, and animal fun—this week is bursting with seasonal joy.

• Beach & Seaside
  We bring the seaside to our setting with sandcastle building, paddling pools, water play, and even a fish and chips lunch!

• Camping Week
  Children build their own tents and forts, create pretend campfires, and enjoy real roasted s’mores—perfect for little adventurers.

• Around the World
  Each day we explore a new country, embracing its culture, music, food, and traditional dress. A fantastic way to spark curiosity about the world!

• Animal Encounters
  We welcome the Animal Man for an exciting visit—giving children the chance to meet and hold fascinating reptiles and other creatures.

• Pirate Week
  Ahoy, matey! Children dress like pirates, talk like scallywags, paint their faces, walk the plank, and search for hidden treasure!

• Music & Instruments
  Creative Flair joins us for a fun-filled musical experience, where children sing, dance, and explore a variety of instruments.

  And that’s just the beginning! We also enjoy bouncy castles, themed parties, and many more surprise activities throughout the holidays—making every day at Holiday Club a new adventure.

We regularly host dedicated Wheels Days, where children are invited to bring in their favourite wheeled toy—whether it’s a bike, scooter, pram, roller skates, or even a remote-controlled car! These special days are a fantastic opportunity for children to enjoy active play and social time with friends in our large outdoor space.

For safety, we kindly ask that all children bring appropriate protective gear, such as helmets and any other necessary equipment.
