-
As our SENDCO I am in charge of referrals to outside agencies (unless they are already involved).
At Playpals, we follow Solihull’s Graduated Approach.
“Assess. Plan. Do. Review.”
We use Solihull’s SEND Assessment Toolkit to assess and track children who we feel may need additional support.
One of the first referrals I make after tracking children and identifying needs is to the Early Years Team. Doing this referral will ensure that our Area SENDCO is involved, and able to offer support. This is always one of the first steps within Early Years.
Children can then be supported with Individual Learning and Support Plans, which are reviewed termly.
